Apothecary was voted one of the most popular spoken word events in the country in the 2017 Sabateur Awards. The evening will be Apothecary Plus, staged in the colourful and exotic Lyric Theatre, with special guest MCs, amazing prizes for the 'Not-Competition'. Most of all it gives the wider community an opportunity to hear the talent and diversity that makes the monthly event a perennial favourite in Bridport, the town that always punches above its weight.

Child I: Young Adult Fiction at Colfox School with Steve Tasane - listed as one of the hottest children’s books of summer 2018 by Times education supplement

Steve Tasane is a prize-winning writer of young adult fiction and poetry. His latest poignant and compelling book, Child I, tells the story of undocumented children living in a refugee camp in Europe. Steve will be reading from the book to young people at Colfox School, but we didn’t want to deny adults the opportunity to hear him, so we will be filming the event will be live streamed to Facebook and made available for free online.
